Our future is formed by our history.
The story of Christ Lutheran Church began in April 1951 when Paul Anderson, a fresh resident of the newly incorporated city of Lake Jackson, Texas, petitioned the Augustana Lutheran Church to start a mission church. Paul gathered together a group of 58 folks to establish a congregation dedicated to worshiping, learning, and serving as the hands of Christ.
The first services were held in the cafeteria of the Lake Jackson Junior High. By 1954 Christ Lutheran was dedicating its first church building at 86 Plantation Drive, where the church still gathers today.
